What is the Three-Shots Festival?

The Three-Shots Film Festival is an online film competition that showcases the rich stories of the youth — in just three frames. It aims to empower budding filmmakers to create strong visuals within their own means and to show younger audiences the power of minimalist storytelling.

2021 Selection Committee

His short film entitled "NAKAW" won Best Director for Short & Sweet Film
Festival 2017 in Hollywood L.A., Best Fiction Film in the 3rd Minikino Film Festival in Jakarta Indonesia, In Competition for Oscar® Qualifying Film Festival Brussels Short Film Festival 2018 in Belgium, In Competition for 2017 Asiana International Short Film Festival in Seoul Korea, and was in competition at the Landshut Short Film Festival 2019 in Germany. In the Philippines, Nakaw ” won the Best Short Film in Gawad Urian 2017 and returned as a finalists in 2017 Cinemalaya Independent Film Festival Short Film Category. NAKAW also won The Feather of Excellence in The Festival de Cine Paz Mindanao Philippines. His first mobile phone film entitled The Gathering ” was part of the Manila Spanish Film Festival 2018 and was in competition at the Mobile Filmmaker's International Fest 2019 in Moscow, Russia His short film KADENA made it to Viddsee Juree Awards Philippines 2019 as one of the finalists. Viddsee Juree Awards is an annual industry pick award celebrating best short films from Singapore, Indonesia and the Philippines. In 2020 , his new short film, TARANG won Best Film ’ at the 36 th Interfilm Berlin Short Film Festival and has just given the Philippines the honor of having its 1 st Best Film award from the Interfilm in 36 years.

Arvin Belarmino

IBONMAN (aka Emmanuel Dela Cruz) is an artist, writer, producer, actor, filmmaker, mentor, acting coach; film, television and theater director and creative with 30 years of experience in the entertainment industry. He is a graduate of UP FILM. He is a native of Aparri, Cagayan but currently practices in Pulong Buhangin, Sta. Maria, Bulacan, his father's home province. 


He has won the Palanca, Famas and Luna Awards for his writings. His film and television works have won in Cinemalaya, Gawad CCP, Gawad Urian, Young Critic's Circle, Famas, Golden Screen Awards, Pista ng Pelikulang Pilipino, Asian Television Awards, USIFVF, Phuket, Neuchâtel, Berlin, Montreal, Torino, Rotterdam, Las Palmas, ImagiNative and Asian Festival of 1st Films, exhibited in Sundance and other film festivals world-wide. 


He has served as an international film jury in Islamabad, Colombo and Manhattan. He is part of artist collectives AWPI and 23 Sampaguita Creative Space.


Breaking Borders in 2020 was his 6th group exhibit and it marks his return after a long  hiatus to his first love which is painting and art-making. He has exhibited some of his artworks and photography at Surrounded by Water, The Cubicle, Ufo Gallery, Cusina Salud and Krem Contemporary Art. 


BEYOND BORDERS, a continuing series with his fellow cross-over artists, now in GIANT DWARF ART SPACE marks his 9th Group Exhibit.

Peter Mackie is an award-winning writer-director based in Los Angeles. His films have screened at LA Shorts Fest, HollyShorts, Cannes Court Métrage, Minneapolis-St Paul Int'l Film Festival, Montana Int'l Film Festival, Wisconsin Film Festival, Hamilton Film Festival, Brooklyn Shorts, Athens Int'l Film Festival in Greece, and Cine Gear Expo, among others. His film, "Sergey's Fortune," won the Grand Prize at the 2019 Short Film Slam in Baltimore, and currently has over 250,000 views on Omeleto. His films have been featured on Film Shortage, Ain't It Cool News, and Reel-13 Shorts (PBS-NYC). His latest film, "Tank Commander," was shot over four months during lockdown, with no crew or budget.

As one of the pioneer mobile filmmakers here in the country. Cinematographer/DOP in a PR Agency. "Mobile Filmmaking Philippines". He formed it in the year 2018 where he aims to share his skills and ideas to those who don't have the means to purchase their own camera equipment. He believes that the smartphone's power can be a tool for an aspiring and passionate filmmaker or vlogger. He's the cinematographer of Cinemalaya 2017's "Nakaw" - a one-take shot film entitled "The Gathering" which competed in various international film festivals. Currently, he works as a D.O.P./Editor in a PR Agency while pursuing his passion and continuously sharing his knowledge and insights in Mobile Filmmaking.
